Post Processing


Sometimes when shooting at the ice rink, I'll get pictures where some lights are warmer (red) than others. This creates a red gradient that goes across the picture. I spent some time to see if I could correct this in post production. I am also trying to figure out how to bring out the faces more, especially since they are inside a dark helmet. Here is my first attempt at doing both:

Notice on the before picture the red color cast on the right hand side of the picture.

More Tommy Hockey Pictures

Tommy had a great hockey game today. He scored one goal, had 3 assists and made a couple great defensive plays. In paint shop pro 9 the auto color balance function lets you set a color temperature and has a check box for removing color cast. It seems to take out the slight blue color cast I've had on a lot of hockey pictures. So these 3 pictures are the first published images using this feature.
